Can I refer-a-friend?
Absolutely! After you become an active agent, you'll receive a unique referral link you can share.
Do I get residuals?
There are no residuals. Instead, we focus on maximizing your compensation up front through a lucrative commission schedule and many bonus opportunities.
Am I a captive agent?
No. Agents who use the Assurance platform are free to work as an agent with other employers or for themselves.
Do I have to be appointed through Assurance?
Yes. If appointed with our carriers through other agencies, you’ll have to get reappointed through Assurance.
Can I work other jobs?
Yes. You can make Assurance your sole source of income, or you can supplement other jobs. Total work freedom.
How much do I have to work?
Independent Life insurance agents are self-employed (1099) and work remote. You are in charge of your own schedule. We recommend setting your earnings goal to determine a schedule that meets your target income.
Why do I need at least 10 state licenses?
When you log on to the platform, you immediately start getting calls from shoppers who live in the states for which you have licenses. The more state licenses you have, the more calls you can take. The fewer state licenses you have, the more likely it is you may experience long wait times between calls.
Will I be an Assurance or Prudential employee?
You are not an employee, you are actually an independent contractor. Assurance is a subsidiary of Prudential Financial. Your contract is with Assurance, not Prudential Financial.
What is the chargeback window?
Around 4 months — much shorter than the industry average.
Are there benefits?
This is a contract (1099) role, so there are no traditional benefits.
