Comp! How much could I earn?
A reasonable earning expectation for this independent agent position is between $30k-$100k annually depending on hours worked as well as commission and earnings plans.

Agents should anticipate committing to between 15 and 50 hours of work per week to meet the reasonable window of compensation as an independent agent.
Can I refer-a-friend?
Absolutely! After you become an active agent, you'll receive a unique referral link you can share.
Do I get residuals?
There are no residuals. Instead, we focus on maximizing your compensation up front through a lucrative commission schedule and many bonus opportunities.
Am I a captive agent?
No. Agents who use the Assurance platform are free to work as an agent with other employers or for themselves.
Do I have to be appointed through Assurance?
Yes. If appointed with our carriers through other agencies, you’ll have to get reappointed through Assurance.
Can I work other jobs?
Yes. You can make Assurance your only source of income, or you can supplement with other jobs. Total work freedom.
Do I need to be a licensed agent?
Yes, you must already have your resident state license before selling at Assurance and will need to provide your National Producer Number (NPN) at onboarding. Required licenses include: Life license, additional state licenses (see below), and any carrier appointments.
Why do I need at least 6 state licenses?
When you start selling at Assurance, you will get calls from shoppers across the country. The more state licenses you have, the more calls you can take. If you don't already have 6 state licenses, you must acquire additional licenses during your Assurance onboarding period. (Note: Assurance requires you to be licensed in states specific to where our shoppers are calling from)
Will I be an Assurance or Prudential employee?
You are not an employee, you are actually an independent contractor. Assurance is a subsidiary of Prudential Financial. Your contract is with Assurance, not Prudential Financial.
What is the chargeback window?
Around 4 months — much shorter than the industry average.
Are there benefits?
This is a contract role, so there are no traditional benefits. Just the benefits to you that come with joining the Assurance platform.
